We are planning a bachelor party in Orlando in March. Any ideas where to stay, to go, entertainment, bars?

Looking for a non-Disney hotel. Younger crowd, close to bars and clubs. Also, what's a good source for entertainment?

IMO I would travel 45 minutes to Tampa and go to Ybor city. Its a blocked off-police controlled street thats lined with bars, clubs and restaurants. Every time I'm down there (I'm from upstate NY) I go out on Saturday, and its not uncommon to find a couple thousand people there. Its a blast. Otherwise, in Orlando, go to Universal Studios City Walk, or to Downtown Disney. Bars, clubs, etc., and a good time in general. Both these places offer a pay one price, get into everywhere deal. I think around thirty bucks. I prefer Disney, but Universals nice too, maybe a little more diverse. Hope this helps, and you have a great time!

Every time i go to Orlando i go to the BET disco in Downtown Disney...i love it ...the music is great ! but if you dont like hip hop you have other options cause you have there 4 or more different kind of discos ...and you have to pay only for the entrace and you can visit all of them...

There are a lot of good bars, restaurants in downtown Orlando. In March the weather is generally pretty nice here, so I would definitely go to a couple of rooftop bars and the bars in the Wallstreet area are usually a lot of fun. There are plenty of hotels within walking distance of most places in downtown. I definitely think you should stay away from the disney area and even International Drive. Although, there are a lot of tourist activities, I am not sure how fun they would be for a bachelor party. ;)

Try the Residence Inn at I-drive and Sand Lake Road... not bad place and they typically had free beer during happy hour each night. Lots of golf courses, of course, for daytime fun. Go to Rachels - high quality 'entertainment'. Alternatively, Blue Martini has an amazingly beautiful young crown and good drinks. Stop by Timpanos on Sand Lake Road for cocktails and dinner first - you'll enjoy the cocktail waitresses and tasty food. Have fun.

Bachelor party? You want to stay away from Orlando. Orlando is totally gay for bachelor party, save Downtown...but then all you've got down there are bars and clubs. Take the other suggestion and take 1-4 west into Tampa/Ybor City. Check out the Mons Venus strip club...(One of the BEST in the WORLD!) Or head East and out to Daytona Beach...and go to Molly Browns (another good strip club). In Orlando strip clubs are basically banned. They are allowed to opporate but they have to wear undergarments, and pasties on their boobs...What a croc of **** huh? If your not looking for the strip club party scene, Orlando is a cool place. International Drive is filled with stuff to do. Though traffic is horrible and the roads suck. If you stay in Orlando, stay away from the prostitutes on Orange Blossum Trail and around the Orlando area. Chances are they are cops and will throw your *** in jail. Have a good time.
