How can I become a Disney Monorail Pilot?

Since all these people are dying at Disney, will you still go?

  • Today a 10 year old was killed by a disney bus at a disney hotel. Last week a disney bus was in a crash and injured like 8 people. Last year a stunt person was killed at mgm and a monorail pilot was killed in a monorail accident. Will it change your mind about visiting disney?

  • Answer:

Absolutly, I will never go to Disney again. They should be able to GUARANTEE my personal Safety at all times when I am visting that park. I am sick and tired of having to look after myself and actually think. That is why I used to go to Disneyworld so I could leave all reason and logic at the gate. Now that is all ruined. No more Disneyworld for me.

I visit WDW almost weekly, and of course that won't change. "All these people are dying"? What people? The two examples you gave were both cast members, not visitors to the parks. The last death of a guest on Disney property was in 2007, and that was from a preexisting heart condition. And out of the thousands upon thousands of people Disney employs, two deaths in two years isn't exactly anything to start a panic about. Both were simply tragic accidents, and they certainly don't indicate some sort of trend. Statistically, I actually have a much higher chance of being in a car accident and being killed or injured on my WAY to Disney than I do of being injured on Disney transportation, and any little boy riding his bike in any street anywhere in the country has a good chance of being injured or killed. In fact, it DOES happen to kids every single day, and bus crashes are also a daily occurrence, but when they happen on city streets, it only makes the local news, not the national news. Out of the millions of people that visit the parks every year, a few injuries are inevitable. Common sense is all you need to understand that. My chance of personally being seriously injured on Disney property is less than 1 in a million, and my chance of dying is 1 in tens of millions. I consider those pretty good odds, so yes, I will still go as much as I always have.

Nope. Those are all unfortunate accidents, but we have the same chance of dying while walking in your neighborhood as dying at Disney. People get hit by cars in car accidents all the time. Does that stop you from driving? People get kid napped from walking around the neighborhood. Does that stop you from walking? No. Every single day we have a chance of dying..

First off, I don't think it is fair to blame Disney for the mishaps. Things happen, accidents happen. I think their statistics are pretty good providing that they have thousands of visitors every day, probably more. Yes, this accident that just happened is a tragedy, like all the other ones. My question is "Where are the parents"? The boy was 9 with an 11 y/o friend, riding their bikes by a BUSY ROAD! But, you have to keep in mind that Disney is not responsible for babysitting tourists and their kids. When I have gone to Disney, I have seen tourists who make the stupidest decisions, like running in front of buses, stepping over boundaries, letting their kids run in a parking lot. And, as far as the bus drivers, yes, accidents happen, like everywhere in the world. Have you been in an accident? Of all the buses and all the parks, hotels, attractions and shopping areas, I am actually surprised there hasn't been more accidents. They have a rigorous 3 month training to drive those buses. There are people everywhere that don't even have a driver license. Are you going to stop driving? For the monorail... that was a freak accident. The ONE accident in 38 years... that is pretty darn good. And no, it will NOT STOP ME FROM GOING TO DISNEY! People need to be more careful instead of carefree.

Dont worry about any of it things happen everywhere April 1st death of the 10 year old he rode his bike off the sidewalk and struck a Disney bus it had really nothing to do with Disney the boy as sad as it is was the cause of it. The stunt man thats his job your not going to be in that situation so enjoy Disney dont think twice :))

What an unfortunate tragedy although I did not hear about today's incident. Quite honestly it does not change my mind about any future plans to visit WDW. After all unforseen occurences can happen and do happen everywhere. It will make me more cautious, though, and I won't let my guard down as many of us do while on vacation.

Yes.Highway I-4 from Tampa to Orlando is more dangerous.By the time I get to Disney World the desire for thrill rides is spent.March 4th there was a controlled burn near Disney but the cold weather kept the smoke from rising. The smoke was so thick it looked like a rain storm. Another controlled burn near I-4 mixed with fog and caused a multicar accident.Hope the controlled oil drilling causes less mayhem.I would go on a Disney cruise to see an offshore drilling platform.A Navy submarine could surface on the other side then everyone on board could chant U-S-A.
