Disney World - Carribean Resort?
-
Hi! Me my mom, my dad and my 8 year old sister are going to Disney World in Florida. I am 12 years old. We plan on staying 10 days in Florida, (including 4 hour flight from Nova Scotia) and we want to make our stay the best possible. Using the info I have just given you what are your recommendations about a Disney World stay. We are Ambitious (we want to se everything *Excluding Downtown Disney and Boardwalk) and we plan on going to Universal studios and Sea World a day each (which are in Orlando, outside DisneyWorld). We want roughly a day for each and we plan to have 2 meals per day, (Brunch and Supper) because the portions I hear are large. (Come on, its DISNEYWORLD). What Resturants do you like. We are getting the meal deal which means 2 meals, any price per day. Take all of this, (I know its ALOT) and tell me some Resturants, Shops or just anything related to disney world, please and thank you. Please use pharagraphs, not "LMAO disneywurld funn!!!" Thanks, Bye

Sounds like a great time! Enjoy it! 10 days will be a great amount of time, but when it is said and done - if you are anything like me or most I know - you will think that it was not enough time when you leave. I worked in the parks at Walt Disney World and have been there a few times before and since - and I absolutely love going there. After all our time we have spent in those parks, I feel like we got it down very well on what to do and where to go. Of course everyones tastes are different, so you might like something different than we did, but all I can do is share my experience: With a 10 day trip, two of the days you will be traveling and settling in - or packing up. So I will go with 8 days, but as you stated you are going to go to two off-site parks on two different days of your trip. This leaves 6 days for the Disney parks. That all said, this is what I suggest to most people when they go to Disney World in Florida: 1. Spend at least one if not two full days in the Magic Kingdom - since it is the heart of the Disney theme parks, in Florida at least. This will give you enough time to do all the many attractions that they have, and also to be able to watch the fireworks, see the parades, catch the Dapper Dan's singing on Main Street, meet and greet with the characters, watch the show in front of the Castle, or any other live entertainment that is throughout the park. I would suggest not missing Mickey's Philharmagic, it is a very well done 3D movie that brings you through an adventure in Disney movie history. Of course it will allow for some time to shop and eat too! 2. Spend at least one full day in Epcot - more if you enjoy it! Epcot is hit and miss with people, some really love it, and some hate it. With the ages of you and your sister I am going to guess that it won't be your favorite, but it is still worth doing one full day. A MUST is to stay for the fireworks and laser light show - Illuminations - it is one of the best of its kind you will ever see in my opinion! There are countries to explore, but don't forget Future World where you can ride Test Track, fly on Soarin', explore with Nemo, travel on Mission Space and more. 3. Do one full day at Disney's MGM Studios. Some people like this park because it has the Tower of Terror and the Rock n' Roller coaster, so if that is your style - you might want to come back for a half day on your trip in addition to the full day you spend here. Another must do at this park though is the night time show Fantasmic! This is another wonderful show that is unlike anything else you have seen - but just a warning, get there good time for good seats, it can fill up quick depending on what time of year you are there. 4. Spend at least a good part of your day at the Animal Kingdom park. Now that Everest is open, you might be able to spend almost a whole day at this park - although this is one of the earliest closing parks, due to the animals bed times. There are some great things to do in this park though, such as: Kilimanjaro Safaris (do this first thing in the morning, it is the best time to ride while the animals are just out and about - and the lines are shorter if you do it right when the park opens), Dinosaur, Everest, Bugs Life's It's Tough to Be a Bug (a 3D movie inside the Tree of Life, the centerpiece of the park), and if you would like - catch one of the live shows (I think they have a Nemo show and a Lion King show right now). If this hasn't filled up all your 6 days, and depending on what time of year you go, there is still a LOT more to do. There are two water parks to go to if you are there at the right time of the season. These water parks are some of the best water parks in the world! Blizzard Beach is what I recommend the most, it is just an awesome overall water park with many slides and lots of fun to be had. Typhoon Lagoon is good in it's own right, but the best part of that park that I found was the chance to snorkel with the sharks and other sea life in the coral reef they created. Other than that the water park is decent but probably not worth your precious days. If you have any more spare time, there are some miniature golf courses that are some of the best in the world that I have been to. Otherwise just exploring the resorts is fun too, riding the monorail around to look at the beautiful resorts like the Grand Floridian. Now for food and shops to hit while you are having fun. Magic Kingdom - I suggest Casey's Corner on Main Street for some very good hot dogs and especially the great french fries they have (if they still do). For a very special meal (and expensive) go to Cinderella's Royal Table restaurant inside the castle. Call ahead seating is a must for this place, but it is good food and a very neat experience. Epcot - There are many great places to eat here, especially in the countries section of Epcot. I personally think that the Mexican quick service food is some of the best. Otherwise you can't really go wrong with any of the other countries if you like that kind of food - or want to try it. Animal Kingdom - Some of the best pizza in all the parks - I don't know what makes it so good but it is much better then all the other places in the parks - but go to Pizzafari. Other than these suggestions, there are all sorts of great places to eat, pretty much all of the food in Disney World is good - just find something you think you might like, and most likely you will. As for shopping, there is lots all over the place. Main Street in the Magic Kingdom has many shops, the countries around Epcot have some neat things to buy from the respective countries, and you can find some nice Disney stores in the Future World part of Epcot. Animal Kingdom has some fun animal themed - as well as themes from the countries of Animal Kingdom like Africa or Asia. Disney MGM has some fun movie themed merchandise in its stores. But the biggest (literally) store of all the Disney stores is the giant store in downtown Disney aptly named World of Disney. You can find almost anything Disney in here, and if it isn't in here it will be in one of the neighboring stores in the Downtown Disney Marketplace. There is so much fun to be had at Disney World, and this is just an overview. So don't worry about plans too much, and just have fun! Use the fastpass system too, it will help you get on all the big rides you probably want to ride while you are there.

thats cool if you are coming all the way from nova scotia. i don't know if you want to stay the carribean hotel. the pool just closed down, so you will have to take a bus to a park, and then to another hotel to use the pool. we had to switch htoels because the one at our hotel closed to (thats port orleans french quarter). i am 14, and the best place to eat for fast food is pecos bills cafe in frontierland in magic kingdom. they have sloppy joes, and if you don't know what those are you have to eat one! also cosmic rays starlight cafe is good, and thats in magic kingdom in tomorrowland (which is the best mini-park) you also should try a churro. they are like big long sticks of friend dough that are 2 feet long with cinnamon sugar all over them, and they are amazing! they are throughout the park in litle food stands. you also have to try a disney famous turkey leg. they are massive. you can get them in tomorrowland under the transit authority. they are so big people ask if they are legs of like huge birds. have fun! hope that helped! you will love it! <3

You must spend time, whether in the afternoon or evenings after the parks close at Downtown Disney. Great restaurants (raglan Road) and shops there. The Restaurants in Epcot are excellent (France and German pavilions are highly recommended). I would avoid the meal plan because it gives you much more flexibility. If you stay at the Carribean Beach Resort - which is a great place to stay - there is a dining area and restaurant there - both are convienant and have good food. You will have fun athe the Carribean resort, centrally located for Universal and Sea World. Have a great trip
