I am looking to rent a car from MN and drive it to Orlando, FL. Does anyone know of the best rental company?
-
Because of the insane prices for airline tickets from Minneapolis, MN to Orlando Florida in mid-February friend and I are looking to possibly rent a car here in MN and drive it down there. We would use the car for the seven days and then return it to Orlando International and fly the one-way back. Does anyone know of the best company to rent from? Possibly one that does not charge mileage or an extra fee to return to another destination than it was rented?

Answer:
Dollar Car Rentals is one of the leading car rental companies in the world today. They have achieved this position through their fundamental principal of outstanding customer service. You'll find that Dollar's fleet of Daimler Chrysler cars to be second to none. You'll also see that Rental Car Momma's rates (possible through a special partnership with Dollar) are hard to best. Take a look at some of our Dollar Car Rental rates. Check out discount coupon at http://dollarcarrentalpromocode.com Good Luck...

one way rental is HIGH!!!!!! Since you dont get the car back to the original rental place, they have to send someone after it or strike a deal with a customer to get it back up the way it needs to go..Your not going to find any really good rates from any of the rental companies for a one way rental.I use ENTERPRISE.THey pick you up and move you around.Thats nice when you need to leave your car at the shop and have them pick you up in the same town....Thats why I recommend them. They have always given me a good deal and I am happy with them. You might ask at the dealer if they have any cans they could give you a good deal on tthat needs to go in the direction your going. However florida usually has more going OUT than IN

It is a nice thought, but I doubt it will work out. I have a feeling that the one way fee to drop a car 1500 miles from the origin are going to be pretty hefty. Plus, many airlines charge more for a one way ticket. (southwest does not). Check airline prices out of Cedar Rapids. You would drive through there anyway. Allegient flies from Cedar Rapids to one of the Orlando airports.
