Has anyone ever done the semester at Sea program?

Anyone done the Disney college program? ?

  • I am extremely interested in the Disney college program. Has anyone done this? I can't decide if I should stick to the summer program ( and not miss a semester) or go ahead and skip one semester and do 5 months. If someone has done the 5-6 months.. Do you regret skipping a semester? I feel like this is the chance of a lifetime and I've wanted to work for Disney for so incredibly long, but school is also important for me. HELP!!

  • Answer:

I personally have not done the CP program but I work everyday with people who are in it right now. i have been working at WDW for 5 years now and have met a lot of CPs. Depending on your major this program may help you. I know a lot of CPs actually extend or have done the programs two or three times. Generally everyone LOVES it. Its like a big summer camp experience. You meet a lot of new friends and get to play int he parks on your days off. Its pretty awesome. You must realize this is a FULL TIME job while you are here. This means you will work 40 plus hours. Frequently I see the Cps workind 50 and 60 hours. Working at Disney is not like being here on vacation. Still the people you will meet and work with tend to be pretty awesome and have similar mindsets like you. So if you dont mind working and LOVE disney then I would say go for the longer program. Disney is a very powerful name to have on your resume when you get out of school.
