How to go about working in a Disney park?

How could I go about working in a Disney Park?

  • I know it's cheesy, but I love Disney; it's given me some amazing memories and I really am passionate about it. I've heard that working there can be awful, but I still think I'd like to give it a shot, if I could- particularly as a character but maybe just in a hotel or shop or something. I'm clean cut, polite, I can sing/act/dance (I don't know if that's needed for character work?) and I work well with people. The only thing is, I know Disney has really strict appearance rules- I'm 5"9. Is that too tall? And I have short dark hair and blue eyes, and pale clear skin. I know this was a really long question- but I'd really appreciate it if you could answer... thanks so much!

  • Answer:

I'm going to send you a link to the Disney Careers site. That will answer a lot of your questions and even tell you what jobs are currently open. If you want to be a character, it would require an audition, so your acting skills will come in handy. I'm a former Cast Member myself, and while Disney is no longer my career, it's still my passion, and I think working there would give you a good experience, even if it's just for a short time. Good luck! http://corporate.disney.go.com/careers/index.html
