Has anyone gone to Colorado Technical University?

Has anyone gone to NYU (New York University) ?

  • Or even knows someone who has or is about to go? I just have one question. Can a relatively poor girl that lives in Colorado who is 2nd in her class and has incredible grades, community service, and extra cirriculars get into that school?

    Hey, I'm not familiar with NYU itself but I know with most universities, if your grades are that high you can get a scholarship if money is a problem. Also, if you can't get a scholarship, since your American (not an international student) you can always get student loans (called OSAP here in Canada.) They have no interest fees until you you graduate and start working, which is when you can pay it off. You can always check NYU's website to see details on tuition fees, dorm costs, scholarships & student loan oppurtunities. Basically now all you'd need to pay for is housing, school supplies/books (books are expensive, about $100 for each here.), food, and your basic needs. I'm sure if you save up for those things and get a part time job while your in New York, you'll be just fine. Also in Canada when you are on Student Loan, it covers costs of books too. Not sure for scholarships, but I'm guessing they should. Hopefully its the same in the U.S., then all you'd need to cover is housing, food, and other essential things... That's pretty much your best case scenario! Really wish you luck :)

Depends on which college within NYU you want to apply to, but your list of accomplishments sounds reasonably within the general limits for acceptance to NYU. If you're relatively poor as you say though, paying for NYU is going to be a whole other issue. NYU is one of the most expensive universities in the country and cost-of-living expenses once you're in New York aren't chump change either.
