  You don't say where you're coming from! Is it from New York City, since your question is posted there. Also, where in Michigan are you headed? Michigan is a large state. To find the exact price, here's a link to the Amtrak website: http://www.amtrak.com You can purchase your ticket on the website, and either have them mail it to you, or you can pick it up at the station (be sure that the station is manned, however, as some stations don't have a ticket agent or a ticket machine). Typically, the earlier you purchase the ticket the lower the price will be. Waiting until the day of travel is dangerous, as many Amtrak trains run full. If you show up without a ticket, you'll be told there's no room for you.
