Good, cheap, clean hotel in New York?

  • Im looking for a nice clean cheap-ish hotel in the centre of new york city. Near Times Square, in the tourist area of the ciy, close to everything. Ive been to New York a couple of times but the hotels I have stayed in have been awful. Any suggestions. Not Hotel Carter!!!!!!!

    I was in new york in July we stayed at the holiday inn on 57th street it's clean cheap and cheerful and central.

Radio City Apartments! take a look at the reviews on tripadvisor http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60763-d93393-Reviews-Radio_City_Apartments-New_York_City_New_York.html It's cheap, simple but clean and located just around the corner from Times Square - close enough but far enough away to be quiet. Also, you get a small kitchenette as well as bedroom & bathroom, so you can store a cold beer in the fridge (buy from the deli next door!) IIt's perfect if you have kids as you can put them to bed (2 double beds in bedroom) and sit in the living area with a drink for a while. I went there last easter and would never stay anywhere else now! Heather

Hi, I'm going in february & I cant wait. Try the Hotel Pennsylvania or Hotel Penn as its sometimes called. Its cheap & cheerful!! Its right beside the Penn Station so you can get a bus to anywhere. Its only about a 5-10 minutes walk away from Times Square! Don't forget that you wont be in your room all day as you will be out shopping or siteseeing so if you can find anywhere cheaper, do consider it. I hope this helps. Regards Anthony

Best bet is to go to priceline and only bid on 4 star hotels, dont settle for anything else. other good resource is www.tripadvisor.com Go by user reviews, som actually show pics...Good luck and Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
