Are there any attractions open tomorrow at Coney Island, NY?

Is Coney Island and Astroland OPEN?

I will be visiting NYC from oct 16-22.... in a week! I planned on spending friday at coney island.... but i keep finding articles and other information about coney island being closed..... I would hate to plan a day of it and get there to find i wasted my time.... So if i showed up in the early afternoon, will astroland be open, and will the boardwalk be eventfull??? If you could tell me anything that would b very helpfull!!!

Astroland has been closed since September. not sure about Coney Island, but if the weather's good, probably fine, otherwise no.

Astroland would have never been open this late in the season. It usually closed in September. However, it closed for good last month. Coney Island is a neighborhood. There will be some things open, but not a lot to do.
