south street seaport, the usual touristy sights like empire state building, statue of liberty, the UN, ground zero. go to all of the shops, they're HUGE. times square at night is my favorite. there's this great place called alice's tea cup (based on alice in wonderland). there's a bakery called magnolia that has amazing cupcakes. in my opinion, serendipity is overrated (and my friend's uncle owns it, so.. i don't mind saying that openly haha). central park is a given. you should have a picnic there. go to the museums - i love the frick (even though that's an art collection, not a museum). see a movie in imax if you've never done that. a lot of people love peter luger steakhouse, but it's pricey. get new york pizza for sure! oh and bagels. haha

New York City Travel Calendar http://411newyork.org/guide/2007/10/14/new-york-city-travel-calendar/ September -September, you will get hit with the heat and higher prices but you will avoid most of the summer crowds. For September 2009, you will want to take part in: * 5th Annual RBC Race for the Kids * Amateur Night at the Apollo (Wed. 7:30; $15–$25) * Shopping on Fifth avenue & Canal Street

Try Pier 16 at South Street Seaport. A lot of activities, food court, and 3 stories stores. It is a good view for, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Verrazzano Bridge, and Hudson River. It is attached to the ship museum. (I forgot the name of it) But you will love it. You want eat, Go to little Italy (soho). You may eat Falafel for $2 at Mamoun Falafel, or spend some $70 on each meal in the nearby hundreds of restaurants. Say hi to NYC I missed it a great deal. I love NY.

New York includes some really off-the-wall things you will enjoy. Here are two of the weirdest sights you can see for free: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2063429/the_general_buried_under_new_yorks.html?cat=8 That is the story of a general buried under Fifth Avenue and also the story of General Grant's challenging life and death in New York.

Do not leave before you go up to the Empire State Building observation deck. You can see the whole city from up there. It's my favorite thing in the city.
