About how long does it take to climb to the top of the Statue of Liberty? I believe there are 354 steps and I'm told this is equivalent to 22 stories. I'm curious if anyone has been before and can tell me how long it takes (approximately) to climb to the top and likewise to get back down. THANKS!

Answer:
You're close. There are about 364 steps to climb from the pedestal of the Statue to the crown. However, if you need to go the crown, now a days, you need to make a reservation. That because there are restriction on how many people can go up to the crown a day. This is in the interest of safety. Good luck Native New Yorker
