Staten Island is the Bedroom community of NYC. It has the lowest crime rate, the nicest homes (over 80% home ownership) and the best schools outside of some Manhattan Neighborhoods. The dump has been closed and property values have skyrocketed. For so long the rest of NYC dumped on Staten Island (only 2 votes in the City Council). Mayor Guilianni changed all that. In fact he made a promise that when he retires from public life, he will be a Staten Islander. The SI haters here just don't understand a Republican borough, that is a great place to raise children, be a ferry ride from Manhattan and yet enjoy a large backyard and a swimming pool, in great neighborhoods.

Staten Island is garbage. As the guy above said, it's a dump. Move to Brooklyn, we need more girls here anyways.
