Can you view the fireworks anywhere more uptown than 42nd street on the FDR?
-
For years i went to the East 80's on the FDR to view the fireworks, and now 311 is saying we have to go downtown to view them!! What is that about??
-
Answer:
The 59th street bridge has a walkway, so you could walk out on the bridge. I did this one year and had good view of the fireworks. According to this article, you would still be able to see them from there! http://manhattan.about.com/od/eventsandattractions/a/nycjulyfourth.htm have fun! http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/745/140454.JPG
