What is the Penn shuttle?

Where can I pick up the PATH in Newark without paying $25 for parking all day at Penn Sation?

• I am staying at Best Western in Newark across from the airport and they told me I needed to take their shuttle to Penn Sation NJ which costs 25 dollars round trip. I asked them what is the price of parking my car at Penn Station NJ and they told me it was $23 and that it will only last til 7. I am trying to pick up the PATH so is there a better place to park my car and avoid paying $23 for parking and avoid paying $25 for a shuttle?

  My friend, first of all the hotel is wrong. There is an economical long term parking lot at Newark Airport. Its located in lot P6 and P7, which is on the north side of the airport, a shuttle bus will take you from lot P6/P7 to the Airtrain station at Terminal B. You can then take the Airtrain, which is free to ride within the airport, from Terminal B to Station P4, where you can then take a courtesy van to your hotel. The parking rate at lot P6/P7 will cost you $15 for the first 24 hours and $5 for ever 8 hour after that. Second, according to Yahoo Travel, there is a free shuttle van from the hotel to the Airtrain Station P4. You can take that shuttle for free, instead of shelling $25 each way to go to and from Penn Station. Once at Airtrain Station P4, transfer to the Airtrain from there to the Newark-Liberty International Airport Train station. At the Newark-Liberty International Airport Train station, purchase a round trip NJ Transit ticket for $15.50 and take any eastbound NJ Transit train from Newark Airport train station to Newark Penn Station. Once at Newark Penn Station, transfer to PATH train to New York City. NJ Transit trains bound for New York City, will most likely pulling in on Platform 1 at Newark Penn Station. This platform is shared with the PATH, which located right across the platform in Platform 2. There is always a PATH train standing there waiting for passenger. When transfering from the NJ Transit to the PATH at Newark Penn Station, purchase a $3.50 MetroCard to use on the PATH. I hope this information was very helpful.
