How much money do I need monthly to live in New York?

How much money do i need per day to live in New York ? I will stay 6 months...?

Assuming you are not going to eat at expensive restaurants and see Broadway show every night, but you definitely can safe and do it on few occasions. If you like to go to bars, one drink can be $10. Transportation - $2 per ride, but if you would stay in Manhattan, you can walk to a lot of places.
