Is syracuse university?

Fastest way to get to Syracuse University from Middlesex NJ?

  • I currently live in Sayreville New Jersey, I hope to attend Syracuse University soon. I need to know how long would it take to get to the university by car, or train? I would also know like to know what is the best form of transportation when I am taking my luggae with me to the Syracuse dorms? Thank you!

  • Answer:

The best choice is driving, but you have ruled that out. Taking the bus is probably the least expensive option, but it's not easy. You have tto connect in New York at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. You can probably get a bus from New York to Syracuse, but it will take a long time because it stops at every third traffic light along the way. Taking the train is probably the next most convenient compared with driving. Again, you have to connect in New York (at Penn Station), but you can get a train that will take you to Syracuse with brief stops in Croton-Harmon, Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck, Hudson, Albany and Utica. Once you get to Syracuse you will probably have to take a taxi to the University - neither the train station nor the bus station are near campus.

Driving. To take the train, you'd have to go into NYC then up to Albany then over to Syracuse. You can always have things shipped to Syracuse U by FedEx or UPS.
