What's the cheapest way to travel to New York From NC?

What is the best way ( cheap, fast and safe) to travel from New York City, to Winston-Salem, NC?

  • I could not find direct flight, Fares To Greensboro ( closest airport) expensive, Driving takes 11 hours, No Train or Bus

  • Answer:

    take jetblue and fly to Charlotte NC and from there drive to Winston-Salem.

Continental Airlines: Newark to Greensboro has direct flights. Delta does direct flights to Greensboro also, I think outta JFK. I think there's some from Laguardia too. Airfare is not super cheap right now, but this website will find you the cheapest published fares: www.sidestep.com If you're willing to consider alternate airports, I just found $103 non-stop round trip from Philly into Raleigh-Durham.

Continental flies direct from Newark to Greensboro. HINT: when you are using on-line travel sites... use NYC as your airport code, this will automatically use all the New York Area airports, (JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, MacArthur/Islip) sometimes Philadelphia (89 Miles from NYC) depending on the site.
