• How do I limit security abuse from officers and their dogs at the Whitehall Ferry Terminal in NYC? Security abuse at the WhiteHall Ferry Terminal(NYC):? I don't know what to do about an abusive officer and his dog that has accosted me 3 times in a row over the last 4 years. There are many different officers there with trained dogs for security reasons. However, this same officer ALWAYS is the ONLY one to stop me when I have nothing but groceries in my hands, demands that I place my food upon the ground and his dog forcefully pushes his wet nose through the insides of my grocery bags slobbering and sniffing over my bread, eggs and sometimes, fresh salad vegetables from the salad bar(covered) only with two paper plates, held together with a mere 2 rubber bands. Most recently(yesterday), I pulled my grocery bags away from the animal as he began to "mash" my fresh loaf of gluten-free bread(that had been packed at the top of the grocery bag to prevent it from being crushed by the heavier items beneath) as the dog tried forcefully to navigate his entire head through my grocery bag. The officer commandingly shouted at me, "Don't Pull Your Bags Away" -- I put the bags back down and the dog did the same thing again, however, more forcefully this time with the officer's vigorous encouragement! And as the dog did this the officer reiterated in this loud and threatening voice and posture, "Don't Pull Your Bags Away Again!" -----I responded, " the dog is mashing his nose into my bread." The officer just staring at me with utter disdain, trying to think of what response he could possibly create without being honest about the actual reason for stopping me, he said, "I am only concerned about my safety and yours! . . . and my response was that "I already feel safe and I don't live in fear. Upon hearing my response the officer gripped his teeth together and sarcastically in a loud and abusive tone said, "Have a Nice Day." Now I have to spend some money on disinfectant to apply to my groceries before they are eaten by me and my family! I never-EVER see anyone being stopped with grocery bags?!! I have been going through that terminal for 5 years now and I seem to be a target of his?! How do I contend with this clearly biased abuse? It is sickening to be victimized in this manner by such an unscrupulous plain-clothed officer and dog! And by the way, when the officer retracted, the dog by the officer's side, the dog went back to licking his testicles!! Right now as a healthcare worker myself, I feel molested and powerless in my own country?! It is really repulsing to see the anger in that officer's face when he could not coax and coerce me into a negative reactive response(for these officers listen very clearly to your EVERY word hoping to give them ANY reason to take this abuse to a greater level.*

  Get his badge number and report him to the Civilian Complaint Review Board. It's not much, but it's about all you can do to combat the small abuses of Bloomberg's Army.
