How can I get from Nice airport to the old port?

How can I get from JFK Airport to Port Authority bus station(625 8TH AVE,NY)?

  Take the airtrain from the airport terminal to Jamaica Center Station and then follow the signs down the same station to the E Subway which will take you all the way into Manhattan and stop at the 42nd st/port authority station. This will require a metrocard which you can purchase when you get to the station before you pass through the airtrain exit. The Airtrain is $5 and can be paid for with a cash value metrocard. The subway portion is $2 and can be paid with the same cash -alue metrocard if you aren't planning on getting an unlimited travel metrocard or you can also buy the unlimited daily pass for $7, weekly $24, or monthly $76. which works for all the subways and buses. You could also take the airtrain in the other direction to the Howard Beach station and from there take the A train to the 42nd street/Port authority stop but that will take a lot longer.
