NEW YORK: Is the statue of Liberty open, is the Island closed as well?
-
Is there a hotel I should consider when I stay in New York. It does not have to be at the Statue of Liberty. Any hotel near or at sites would be very nice. Also is there any Christmas displays I should see?

Answer:
My friend, the Statue of Liberty is closed for renovation until late 2012, however, Liberty Island is open to the public while the Statue is being renovated. In regards to hotel, there are hundreds of them to choose from in the city.
