How do I take a NJ tranist Bus?

How do I get to Weehawken NJ and take the bus to NYC?? Can I take 295N?

  • I live in South Jersey and normally when I go to NY I take 295N to Hamilton & take the train the rest of the way. But someone told me to get off at Weehawken NJ where it says park & ride and take the bus 10 mins into the city, and it's shorter & much easier. Can I get to Weehawken from just taking 295? I don't want to take the turnpike and have to pay all those tolls. It doesnt seem worth it. I'm doing this at 3am tomorrow so please help right away! :) Thanks!

  • Answer:

If you hit Weehawken at 5am or 6am you should be able to get a bus, but Weekhawken still gets caught in any Lincoln Tunnel traffic, and you do have to take the Turnpike to get there. You'd be better off driving to a NJ transit train/bus station and taking the train/bus right into the city and then back. That way you can sleep on the train going and coming back and not worry about parking your car...../

Unfortunately, I can't tell you for sure since I don't live in South NJ (I recently moved to North NJ from NYC. The best thing for you to do is visit - NJTransit.com and see the bus route for the 295 N bus. It's very helpful. This should give you the answer that you need. I hope I helped!
