• At FAO Schwartz Toy Store, especially at Christmas time, mainly kids, (unless you have a hobby whether it is blogging, YouTube, making movies of your own or puppeteering), "Adults" and Young Adults, and like I had said, especially kids buy Muppet What Not Puppets from FAO in New York City next door to the Apple Store. Muppet Whatnots are some of the only kinds of Muppet types out there that are actually available for purchase. Whatnots were licensed through The Jim Henson Company and somehow through The Sesame Workshop. Sesame Workshop is based in NYC too, and has been since they opened their studio at Astoria Studios at One Lincoln Plaza in Manhattan sometime around late-October or Early November of 1969 when Episode one of Sesame Street aired on PBS, and the rest is history. So, are What not Muppet Puppets in New York City because of Sesame Workshop?

  Probably it's more because of Shwarz than because of NYC being the Sesame Workshop location. What Not Muppets are not cheap and the target customers shop at Shwarz.
