Were there ever transatlantic flights into LaGuardia Airport?

How can you get to Newark Airport from LaGuardia Airport?

  • Is there a shuttle system at LaGuardia (preferably located within the airport) that can take me to Newark Airport? I was then planning on taking the NJ Transit train departing from the Newark Airport to get to my station. Would this be complicated for somebody who hasn't done this before or should it be fine? Thanks in advance. I know I can get to Newark from New York Penn Station but Penn Station is not exactly near LaGuardia from what I understand.

  • Answer:

Ask at Newark or at your airport of original departure about a shuttle or for train info. If you board the plane to Newark and still don't know, ask a crewmember. They usually know all about this type of stuff. They should be able to help you get there easily. There is usually a very direct way of getting from one airport to the other.

I took a helicopter shuttle maybe 10 yrs ago. Surprisingly it was cheap like $ 36 again, that was a while ago. Other than that they should have ground shuttles. Ask around and partner up w/ someone going your way. Good luck you should be fine..Just remember to hold your breath when in Newark!

I never done this, but ETS Air Shuttle provides service from LGA to EWR, but it cost $32 per person. Price depends on how many people you have. When you make reservation online or by telephone, make sure you tell your flight name, flight #, arrival time/departure time for both. Cheapest way will be New Jersey Transit. Best alternative by mass transit. Purchase $4 MetroCard from HudsonNewstand. Q33 leaves from Delta, US Airways Shuttle, US Airways, Central Terminal B, American Airline and take that to last stop, 74th St Bus Terminal. This connected to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av/74th St-Broadway station. Take Manhattan-bound (E) train directly to NY Penn Station. From there, paid $15.50 one way on New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor or North Jersey Coast Line to Newark Airport. One way ticket are included with $5.50 Airtrain Newark fee. You don't want to spend that much money, you could also take Manhattan-bound (F) to 34th St-Herald Sq or World Trade Center. Then using same MetroCard, refill your card to $1.75 to enter PATH. From World Trade Center, Newark train leaves there. From 33rd St-6th Av, transfer is require at Journal Sq for Newark Train. At last stop, Newark, follow sign to Bus Lane (Raymond Plaza), then paid $1.35 fare zone 1 on New Jersey Transit Bus #62 bus toward "Perth Amboy." Make sure you get off at either A, B or C.
