Whats the best place to live in new york city?

  • im thinkin about moving out of my house, im 19 and live in a town of about 500. i was thinkin about moving to new york, whats the best place to live thered, and how much? also i would love any information that you could give me about the city. stuff like what colleges are there, what activities, job opertunities?

It is very difficult to live on your own in New York City as an unemployed 19 year old. Small studio apartments in mediocre to poor neighborhoods rent for as much as $1000.00 month on the low end. Anything in Manhattan (the part you see on television) will cost several thousand per month and not be very large. Unless you have relatives or friends who can split a rent with you, stay away. No one is hiring right now.

dont try living on your own. and in manhattan its pretty expensive some areas in brooklyn, queens, and the bronx are nice
