What are some really good restaurants in New York City?
-
My boyfriend and I are going to New York city really soon and I wanted to know about really cool restaurants with great food. Nothing too expensive please, but anything moderately priced is good. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Answer:
There are two places I must recommend - they are quite fancy but have the best food and pre-fixes that are steals! The Nougatine at Jean-Georges for lunch is merely $26 for the best 3 courses in your life. http://www.jean-georges.com/ And the best sushi you'll find with a $23-24 prefix menu for lunch and dinner is Sushi Yasuda. http://www.sushiyasuda.com/ I'm not sure what your tastes are though. Good luck!

My friend, there are thousands of restaurants in the Five Boroughs of New York City. Depending on your taste, your budget and your preferred location, may I recommend the link below. http://www.menupages.com/ -- MenuPages.com is the one of the best website on the online. It included menus with prices, as well as restaurant reviews. Good luck and Bon appetit!

There are a lot of restaurants along Ninth Ave in Manhattan between 42nd and 57th street, This is just two blocks west of Times Square. You could walk around there and choose one that looks interesting. They usually post menus outside. If you are down in the Village I recommend Spain. This is a long time standard of the area featuring Spanish (duh1) food at reasonable prices. Portions are large and appetizers are included. The paella is very good, all varieties, as is the Raquela.

I went to The Tax Club Cafe the other day (twice) and it was great. Very reasonably priced for NYC. I went for brunch and dinner. Brunch I had their E-Trade Egg Sandwich (awkward name I know) which was great and the glazed duck for dinner which also was excellent. I'll put the link to the menu in the source section. Hope this helps.

For breakfast, Sarabeths is a must, though be prepared to wait for a table (http://www.sarabeth.com/) In the village, The Garage is a little nicer, but not outrageous and very good (http://www.garagerest.com/) and at the South Street Seaport, there is a pub that you enter from a mall, but has an outdoor deck...I forgot the name, but enjoyed it...found it... Native New Yorker gave you an excellent suggestion ( as always ) May I give a suggestion of my own? Pick an Argentinian restaurant. I am sure you'll love it.
