CUNY HELP. Very important?

This is for CUNY Students Only Please!!! HELP!!!!?

  • I'm trying to apply to Hunter College. I went to John Jay, but left for both personal and financial reasons. That was a year ago. Anyhow, my application has been done for awhile, and if you're a CUNY student, then you know that applications for the Spring 2008 semester are due by October 1st, 2007. My problem is, I recently tried checking the status of my application b/c I hadn't heard anything, and when I called I found out my application fee had never even been mailed! (A mistake on my mother's part, but I still love her) So I want to know if anyone knows if they will just not consider the application if I get the application fee out today....b/c my application is technically done, it just hasn't been processed, or as they say, it isn't "complete". HELP!!! Anybody have experience with this? Oh, and also, one of my transcripts hasn't gotten there either. LOST CAUSE??

  • Answer:

I think you'll be fine...as long as your get your check out in the mail with a postmark dated earlier than 10/1. You should also call or visit Hunter directly and ask the admissions department what should be done to get your transcript in on time...they may even give you an extension or handle it there...since they are all part of the CUNY family. My sister in law tried applying recently and they accepted her application even though it was late. So don't give up... Good Luck

I'm not 100% sure but I think if you do it online or hand it to them in person the fee can be waived. I also transferred from one CUNY college to another and I don't recall an application fee.

just send the money in immediately! i think they give u a certain pd b4 they close the deal...but send it in...it's just incomplete so u just have to complete it..and tell ur school to send the transcript directly to the processing center... hopefully u'll make it for the semester..

And you think this is a travel question? Oh, I am from New York City. This is a higher education question. Anyone who graduated high school would know that.
