What currently makes the Empire State Building more special than the Burj Khalifa?

  • For skyscraper enthusiasts, what are some reasons to see and visit the Empire State Building over the Burj Khalifa in Dubai? What makes the Empire State Building more impressive, amazing, and well-known than the Burj Khalifa as a skyscraper? Also, don’t you wish that the Burj Khalifa would have been constructed in NYC instead of Dubai? I have been watching some youtube videos of Dubai drives and I have to admit that the Burj Khalifa looks very impressive and amazing from far away and from up close. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLF16Vfr_PA

    Why does one have to be more special than the other? Both can be impressive, amazing and well known without diminishing the other. You can visit and/or appreciate either based on their own merits.

Well I bet they didn't make any "Little Moron" jokes about the Burji Khalifa like they had in the 50's about the Empire State Building. Still, William, The morons that keep making these towers to reach higher than anybody else.. I mean it's something like a four-year-old mentality, and less than a four-year-old's understanding of the important things of life. One Russian nuclear spy said that the WTC had nukes underneath, (were DESIGNED with nukes underneath) so that they would fall into their (very hot) footprint
