How would New York be for a family holiday?

How can i get a holiday with 1 week in new york and the next week in los angeles ?

  • Thomas cook is offering me 2 weeks in new york, i'd rather have a week in LA and a week in NYC, any good websites or agents ?

  • Answer:

Why agents? Do it yourself. Book an open jaw ticket. London-NY, fly back from LA. In the USA book yourself a one way flight from NY-LA You can find airlines and prices on Travelocity or Expedia but open jaw tickets have to be booked directly with the airline. http://www.travelocity.com/resolve/uk Finding cheap flights...see mine and there are lots of links on the others too http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjLoggp.Huo.Dlvl2CArwZYgBgx.;_ylv=3?qid=20120119114308AAJUwx0 Book a budget hotel in NY and LA before you leave, through hostelbookers or hostelworld who do backpacker hostels and cheap-ish hotels. Or use any of a hundred other hotel and hostel booking sites like Travelocity or Expedia.. You can do it all from your own computer in one evening, easy as baking a cake, and you get a place where you want, not what T. Cook or some other travel agent has on their books for a package deal. You can do the same with coach tickets on National Express. If I visit my brother and then go to Bournmouth for a week I book an open jaw ticket. My place to his place, return from Bournmouth. Then I just need a single ticket from his place to Bournmouth so I look for a cheap train fare. Booking a hotel is easy in the UK or abroad. With those two hostel sites above you pay a small deposit when you book the hotel and pay the balance on arrival. I've done it in loads of countries on five continents, all booked from my tin-pot little bedroom and it's old dinosaur of a computer (this one) and never had a single problem Every place had me on the arrivals list and a record of the deposit paid, even in rural out-in-the-sticks towns in Peru. Here are the NY results in US dollars from Hostelworld. Under the yellow bits you'll see a box for currency... US$ ,GBP (Great Britain Pounds) etc Just select pounds and all the numbers change http://www.hostelbookers.com/results/loc/dd/dst/1691/arr/2012-03-23/ngt/6/ Home page. Check out a couple of £4 a night hotels in Cambodia. Even book one if you like. You need a debit or credit card. The site is safe and reliable. No problems in many years on five continents and I'm still doing it. http://www.hostelbookers.com/?gclid=CJSzqcON3a0CFcx_fAodolKIuA How to be your own travel agent...change the location to NY or anywhere, it works the same all over the world. http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100610123540AAF1i22 Have a great trip

Organise it yourself! Look for a reasonable price flight to NY using search machine then check out a hotel in NY. Use Trip Advisor for ideas but read comments with a slightly cautious mind. Book hotel on line. Internal flight in USA are easy to arrange and very economical prices. Again look at American Airlines, Delta to get an idea. LA and NY are big places so decide the are you would like to stay. We found good bargain offers on hotels in the centre of San Francisco, one of the top hotels (Venezia) inLas Vegas and Tucson this summer just by researching on the net and similarly with flights. It really isn't hard and actually fun arranging it all before you go! Enjoy!

Go to any travel booking site (Expedia, Travelocity, etc), click that you want multiple destinations, then enter your trip. Home -> LA -> NYC -> Home. It will price it all together.
