How have underwater hotels been making?

Need help... Making trip to New Orleans Louisiana and need help in hotels ?

  • I have narrowed it down to 4 hotels. If you have any say in any of these they would be greatly appreciated. Best Western French Quarter Landmark Hotel Hotel Provincial Iberville Suites Doubletree Hotel These are in the New Orleans area... do any of them have parking garages ?? If it is Valet parking, can you go and see where they park your car during your stay ?? If Valet parking, can you park it in their garage or do they have to do it ? Money is not the object here, it's I'm very protective of my car... Thank you !

I am not personally familiar with the Iberville Suites, but the the other 3 have parking. I don't think they have garages. If you want a garage (instead of a parking lot), the hotel can either arrange on or you can use the Canal Place parking garage (self-park), which is across Canal Street from the Doubletree Hotel (Saks, Brooks Brothers, etc. are in Canal Place). My choice of the four would be the Hotel Provincial. It is in the "residential" part of the FQ, which is much quieter than towards Iberville and Canal Streets. There are many, many restaurants & clubs nearby, including on Frenchmen Street (which is actually outside the FQ). My favorite cafe (the Croissant d'Or) is literally around the corner from the Provincial. My second choice would be the Doubletree - also has a good location. Hope you have a great time!

From the ones you mentioned i would suggest Hotel Provincial. It has valet parking for $18 a day. I am sure you can see the lot if you ask, its a small hotel and would guess they would be helpful. Its also is the best area in my opinion. Iberville and Double tree are ok but there are better. Best western would be my last choice, although it has parking its not the best location.

Doubletree is probably the nicest from this group, but there's a lot more hotels in the french quarter. I'd probably look for something on Poydras St. Not in the Quarter, but an easy streetcar ride or walk away and less expensive.
