What stores are closed on Easter?

Are a lot of stores going to be closed in New Orleans, on Easter Sunday?

  • I'm not used to celebrating Easter here and I wanted to go walk around Magazine Street and look at the shops with mom on Easter Sunday. Is most stuff going to be closed? Any ideas? I'm from California, where most shops are open on Easter. I don't know what the protocol is around here. Thanks!

    these days many stay open and have Easter sales but I'm sure some of the antique and small shops will be closed or at least close early but it won't be a ghost town ;)

Everything will stay open for the most part. We rarely shut down for anything.

Some of those shops in the Garden District might be open for a shorter amount of time. But not all. Lived in San Diego for short time myself ... where a lot of things were closed on Sundays ... as they are across the country.
