How much money do I need for a weekend in miami florida?

What the heck? if that girls story is true, than she must not be a city person, because just like every major city (Miami, NYC) and you should know this because you live in NY, you can get taken advantaged of if your gullible in major cities and don't know how things are (like prices, and how much cost what, etc etc those are just some of the things). I go out EVERY night in Miami AND Miami Beach, and do not spend more than $1000 dollars. Oh and by the way, Miami is alot cheaper than NY, that is a proven fact. Miami is not expensive at all, I mean i guess for the people that live outside Miami-Dade County (the county Miami is in and the only county that has anything "city", but of course just like NY it has it's suburbs. Think about it like this, Miami-Dade County is like it's own state), all they have is suburb fun, it might look expensive, but it really is not at all, although everything is more expensive in the other counties in South Florida, but they don't have the things that are only found in Miami and other places in Miami-Dade County (there's a never ending list of things, but some are, Star Island, hmm all the islands, the infinity things found in Miami and Miami Beach and so much more). To you everything is going to seem like flee market prices. To give you a more accurate price I would have to know how many clubs/bars you are planning or want to go every night (the Miami nightlife never sleeps, even in the day there's nightlife even on Sundays). Beaches are free obviously, although there is this one of a kind place in Miami called "Nikki Beach" you should google that, it was even named number one beach on the Travel Channel. Every night I pretty much do everything, the only time I don't go to a bar is if I'm going to stay clubbing until the next afternoon ;) When I take my girlfriend out, and I pay for her, and we do EVERYTHING, the most I have spend is $300, and that's only because we went to multiple clubs and before we found out about the metromover which is FREE so we took taxis, so we would have spend A LOT less. Trust me, you are going to love Miami, I have been to NY many times and done everything that NY has to offer but nothing compares to Miami and the many wonders in Miami-Dade County. To make sure you spen as less as possible, do a little googling around before you do what you are going to do. Enjoy the never ending wonders and greatness of Miami and Miami-Dade County. Oh and in certain places expect NY type things ;) EDIT: If you are going to go shopping, fancy and universally known wise, you HAVE to go to Flagler, and the Miami Jewelry District (one of the 3 or 4 in the U.S.A.), and sigh so much more. Google it, there's too many things to put lol.
