Your best bet day or night would be Las Olas Blvd. They have several restaurants, shopping, bars, live music etc. You can walk around from place to place without having to drive. Not far from there is Riverfront which is where the best nightlife is in Ft. Lauderdale. There are quite a few clubs/bars all lined up so you can choose your preference. Some even have live bands on the weekends. In the same district is the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Museum of Discovery and Science, The IMAX theater and the Art Museum. Of course if you prefer the beach, you can go to BeachPlace which is a 3 story outdoor type mall with restaurants, bars (including a piano bar) and tons of shopping. All of the places that I have mentioned are all located withing a few miles of each other. Hope it helps!
