What are the best bars/clubs in Fort Lauderdale?

  • I'm going to be in Fort Lauderdale for Spring Break -- what are some good clubs and/or bars to go to? I'm going to try and avoid the gay-bars (no offense, just not my friends nor my thing). So, what are the best places for some college kids to party in Fort Lauderdale?

    It depends on your age. Your best bet is to go to Las Olas. There are a ton of clubs there: art bar, voodoo lounge (no cover), capones, there’s one on the corner next to art bar and I can’t remember the name of it but its small and nice. There’s also a small latin club in that area as well. Then there’s the Seminole Hotel and Casino. There are a number of clubs there (spirit, passion, etc.) but its expensive to get into, you have to be 21, and after a certain time they won’t let men in without women. There are also other clubs in the area of ft. Lauderdale depending on where you are staying. There’s Café Iguana of Pines and Revolution. Here’s a website with the top 10 clubs in Ft. I'm a local 23 year old girl that loves to go out on the weekends. The best places to go are in Riverfront. There is a bar called the Brick that serves $1 well drinks on Friday and Saturday nights from 10-12. After everyone has gotten their share of cheap liquor from there we normally head over to Automatic Slims. There are three different areas there that play all different types of music. I prefer the back circle bar. Tarpon Bend is also a nice place to go for happy hour drinks. During the day I would definitely recommend sitting on the beach near Las Olas. There is a bar there called Blondes that has pool table, dart boards, and cheap drinks. There will also be a lot of people hanging out on the beach in front of the bar. The casino also has a lot of clubs that are fun, but just cost some money to get into. If you're willing to throw down $300 for a bottle. I would highly recommend it. It's the best way to enjoy a club at the casino since you'll get you're own little area and you won't have to be worried about being crammed in between a hundred different people. I hope this helps!
