How to plan a Miami-KeyWest trip ?

  • How to plan a Tript to Miami and KeyWest? I am new to this country. I am planning a trip to FL with my hubby. Have already booked the flight-tickets. We will be reaching Miami on Thursday afternoon and will be leaving Miami on Sunday morning. That means we have 2 1/2 days in hand. Please suggest how should I plan the trip. What all places should we go? Best economical place to stay ? What all activites can be done ? How is the night-life in Key-West/ Miami ? Where should be do water-sports/ water-activites ? We want to drive from Miami to Key-West. What else is worth visiting ? I don't think I will be able to go to FL in near future. I wanted to go to Disney but I guess Orlondo will be very far to cover in couple of days.

    If you only have 2.5 days in Miami, you don't have time to drive to Key West and back, unless you want to spend all your time in the car. It's a very long drive to KW. And you definitely wouldn't have been able to do DisneyWorld in 2.5 days, even - you can easily spend a week there. Find things to do in Miami and relax and enjoy yourselves, although 2.5 days isn't much time....

You really should go read www.tripAdvisor.com and www.frommers.com. These can give you information on what to see and do and also hotels to stay in. Snorkling is a popular activity on the way to the keys. South Beach is great for night life in the Miami area. You can also do some food tours in Miami. Look online for "food tour Miami" or "food tour south beach". In both places there are many water sports and lots of boating. You can rent jet skis or kayaks or canoes or boats or go parasailing.... Also try to see Vizcaya Make sure to eat key lime pie in the Florida keys. Also go see the Hemingway house in Key West.
