Where is the best area to stay in Miami between the airport and the port of Miami? Please be specific.?
-
My husband and I will be spending a couple of days in Miami before going on a Western Caribbean cruise. We've never been to Miami before and don't know where the best areas are to stay and the areas to avoid. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, is the Improv a good place to go for entertainment?

Answer:
Coconut Grove is your best bet. Check the Sonesta Hotel or the Mayfair. Or the Ritz Carlton if you have the money for it. Coconut Grove has plenty of good restaurants, bars, shopping, and it's a short walk to the water where you can watch the sunrise. Make sure to grab dinner at Monty's, where you can listen to music and look at the boats.
