Is it safe to travel in palmas?

Is it safe for a girl of 21 yrs old to travel to miami alone?if so, what safe touristy place can i stay at?

  • so i have no friends or fam that can come with me since they are busy w school work etc..is there a safe way i can travel there for a day or 2?? i really want to go and stay near the beach and clubs but i dont know where its safe yet touristic.i hear about crimebeing high in miami and girls being kidnapped/killed or sold as sex slaves..i dunno how real or not these stories are but i want to go and see what it's like if theres a safe area to go alone at.i live in l.a. and of course there is gangsters,drugs and violence in certain areas but i keep away frm them.i stay in hollywood/west hollywood area and if i was a girl frm mimi travelling alone to l.a. i would say hollywood is pretty safe so i'm just wondering if it's the same in miami/south beach etc. thanks

    it's safe. you can stay in south beach to really enjoy the beach and nightlife. don't go to hollywood- it's kind of boring there and it's like 45 min from south beach. look up www.tripadvisor.com to research the hotels in sobe and go on www.yelp.com for stuff to do and places to check out. also, in yelp, you can go onto the messageboard and ask some of the girls on there if they want to show you around.
