  • Where is the best place to stay on Sanibel Island Florida? We are looking at staying at the South Seas Island Resort in May, but are wanting to know what the best place to stay is Why is everything located at the beginning of the Island, and only three resorts are located all the way on the long side, looks like everything to do is at the beginning of the island. Can anyone provide Information on where to stay, how the island broken down for activities and location of activities. Thanks

    So Sea Island is not on Sanibel. It is on Captiva, in fact at the furthest end from Sanibel. While it is among the nicest resorts, if you want to stay closer to more things to do, you might want to stay at Casa Ybel.
