Any good family places to visit in Southern California?

What are some good things to do in L.A.?and some other good places to visit in california?

  • im thinking of taking a road trip soon,i got lucky and i now have a extremely reliable car with low mileage,and a job that(although part time) is good for getting time off as i work thursdays and sundays so if i can get thursday off ill practically have a week off. so im thinking of visiting california soon,although its a long way(i live in venus texas its approximately 1200 miles) its mainly because i have always wanted to visit cali(who doesnt) and get it out of my system.what are some good things for a (single :D)guy to do in cali?ill probably be taking this trip in spring or summer

    You cannot leave Los Angeles without seeing these places: 1. Hollywood Blvd <--MUST SEE! [kodak theater where oscars are held, the wax museam, ripley's believe it or not, walk of fame, and sooo much more] 2. Hollywood Sign [its only fun if you go with friends and take pictures for like 10 minutes, you can't actually go to the sign and touch it...but you can get very close to it] 3. 3rd Street in Santa Monica [affordable shopping but really fun] 4. newport beach 5. santa monica beach 6. rodeo drive [shopping or look around] 7. sunset blvd. [shopping and many clubs] 8. Big Bear [snow for skiing and snowbarding] 9. Redwood forest [the highest and oldest trees in the world i think...actually, only go here if you have time lol] 10. Disneyland or California Adventures 11. Universal studios [the terminator show and the jurrasic park ride and the studios tour are really awesome] 12. Universal City Walk [its in the Universal Studios but before you actually enter the gates to the amusment park...its a nice place to hang out at night with friends] 13. griffith observatory, science center, getty museum ....there is more but these are the ones i go to a lot. oh...and the weather in the summer and spring is really hot [but not really humid like texas]. hope this helps! [edit] there is also san diego to see [the weather is gonna be ridiculosuly hot in summer though] 1. clubs 2. sea world 3. hot beaches 4. san diego zoo <--its free i think and...you can also visit san francisco [i've never been there though] 1. golden gate bridge && somewhere more north there is the yosemite national park. [edit again] on a last and final note....[kind of random] you HAVE TO try In' N' Out Burgers [I don't know if they have them in Texas] but there really good & cheap but yummm lol.

the beaches expecially santa monica and venice beach. if ur a club person, there are several clubs on sunset blvd, if u like shopping than go on melrose blvd or the beverly center.There's also hollywood and higland which is great for tourists. Also universal citywalk and downtown la. downtown is dirty but there are nice buildings and towns like chinatown... but make sure u stop by the famous eateries like pinks hotdogs, which is on la brea and melrose... u can take tours of celebrity homes in hollywood....and there's the wax museum (i dont know where that's at) but u can google things to do in l.a and know exactly where they are... hope u have a good time
