Can the disneyland summer pass be used towards a new disneyland pass?

When renewing Disneyland annual pass can it be used on blockout date, or can I purchase a second annual pass?

  • My family has annual passes to Disneyland that expire in a couple of weeks. We want to go on a block out date becuase other family members will be in town . We know we can purchase block out tickets for $40, but we also know you can use an annual pass on it's first use even if it is a block out day. If we renew, can we use it on a block out day? If so, how is the best way to do this. If we can't, is there anything that would prevent us from just purchasing a new, second, annual pass and using it for entrance to the park on that day. We would just throw the old ones away a couple of weeks early. Is there any other way to accomplish this, or should we just pay the $40 block out fee? Thanks

  • Answer:

you CANT renew and expect to go in that day bc you did so when its blocked out. The only time you can do that is when its a brand new pass or has already expired. They wont let you buy a second one under the same name, its stupid. Pay the 40 bucks.
