Fun things in Venice Beach?

  • Heyy! I've never been to Venice Beach and I wanna take my mom there for mother's day because she LOVES beaches. What type of stuff are there to do around there, like museums, shopping or really good restaurants? If you can recommend any other beach with fun things to do please let me know. Thanks so much!

    Great shops there. They sell bongs there too. You probably don't want to buy your mom one. There's also a skate park. Venice Beach, CA, right?

Venice Beach is a combination freak show and flea market. Just walking along the beach is entertainment enough. If you want something a little more tame, then go someplace like Manhattan, Hermosa, or Redondo Beaches. Huntington Beach is also a very fun beach with a pier, and shops nearby.

My family is going to Venice Beach soon too. I heard the Boardwalk is really good. What we're going to do is spend half our day in Venice Beach and the rest in Santa Monica, maybe that's an idea. http://www.santamonica.com/visitors/what-to-do/
