How busy is Universal Studios in August?

How busy will Universal Studios be in...?

  • Hi, I am going to LA in April '10, 7-12th. Will the lines at Universal Studios and Disneyland be really long? If so how long would I wait in line? Will spring break be on? Many Thanks

  • Answer:

Questions like this are why I chose my avatar. Yes, the lines and Disneyland and Universal will be long. How long? LONG. Really long. Really, really, REALLY LONG. The week before and after Easter is when the majority of people have Spring Break, and the park is REALLY crowded. Here's a link that shows average Disney attendance and wait times: http://www.scottware.com.au/theme/feature/atend.htm As you can see, peak wait times will be over an hour. We like to go during spring break, but we go when the park opens, and leave by noon (we're passholders). If you MUST go, remember to arrive early before the park opens. You can get in as many rides from 8 to noon as you can from noon to 8 PM. Use FastPass as much as possible. Take your patience. And call 714-781-DINE to make reservations for sit-down dining. This saves a LOT of time.

ok bradley, not to be mean, but come on let's use some common sense, of course all theme parks will be packed because it's spring break, and I've been to all of them during spring break in different years Universal Studios, 1st of all, is really small, I've heard so many complaints from 1st time visitors who are angry at the size of the park, if you've ever been to any theme park like Disneyland, Universal Studios is like the size of one themed land, it's that small! The rides are limited because there are more shows than anything else, and during spring break it gets so packed because of all the tourists next door at Citywalk, and those coming from Hollywood which is about 15 minutes away! Disneyland! OMG, I went during spring break like 3 years ago, and I only went on like 3 or 4 rides because the lines were sooooooo long, and unfortunately Disneyland is known for having many rides that break down all the time, and when that happens people just sit in line waiting for the rides to reopen, so don;t think they leave. My best advice for you is to go somewhere else during spring break, or just stay home, nowadays it gets packed everywhere, but thats if you like that kind of stuff good luck!

Yes, it's Spring Break for many school. <-- Well, it's Spring Break 2010 for many stadenta (elementary, middle, high and college) in the San Francisco area. So I would say YES! very busy.. Since a lot of families will vacation in LA.
