Which City can I get further with $19023.56 LA or NYC until I find a Job?

  • For the Life of me I get out of college on June 2, 2011 and my best friend wants me and my GF to go to Los Angeles With him but MY GF wants to go to NYC where almost all my family is on the East Coas from Maine to Florida but I did grow up In los angeles where if I go to NYC I would leave a lot of memories. Here is Some hobbies I like maybe these will help Snowboarding, Surfing, Biking, Hiking, Jogging, Walking I love Big Cities Maybe this will help PROS AND CONS LOS ANGELES PRO & CONS CONS. TO MUCH TRAFFIC TO MUCH AREA TO GET AROUND HIGH INSURANCE GANG CAPITOL OF THE USA AINT LYING YOUR TALKING TO A SOCAL ( SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA) BORN WHITE PERSON SMOG PROS. DISNEYLAND BEACHES CLOSE TO VEGAS NYC PROS & CONS CONS. HIGH TRAFFIC HIGH PRICE OF LIVING +++++++++++++ PROS. BROADWAY THEATER TIMES SQUARE EASY TO GET AROUND THE CITY BY WALKING FAIRLY PRICED TAXI FARES AND SUBWAYS SAFEST LARGE CITY IN THE USA NO SMOG Plus if I stay here in LA i would be paying high Car insurance If i go to NYC i can probably get an extra 3 to $5000 fpr a brand new 2009 Chevrolet Impala Please help i got not much more time for decisions

    You are silly. You imagine that somehow NYC does not have as much of a gang or crime problem as LA? It only manifests itself slightly differently, the nationalities change some but it is every bit as much an issue. Gangs have long since spread out from their SoCal, Chicago, Miami and NYC roots.They are an increasing problem all over the country and in the U.S. military. No smog?!! Now I know you're nuts. Take a look at the skyline when the sun comes up. See that brown layer? Yeah, that's smog. With all those highways in the metropolitan area, and 3 major airports which are some of the busiest in the country you'd better believe we have some dirty air. Fairly priced taxis? Guess you're never around when the city does crack downs on cabbies and finds among other illegal activities, rigged meters set to run fast. I could go on but this is enough for now. I'd take LA any day of the week.

I grew up in New York and trust me the only fun part about it is the summer. From October to May its cold and the snow is depressing. Live in LA its warmer there, and maybe in the summer you can visit New York. Although NYC has a lot more to do (in my opinion). I would much rather live in LA because of the weather, and its only a 5 hour drive to Las Vegas.

New Your, because you have a support system there, and that is where your girlfriend wants to go. California has a very high unemployment rate, and just coming out of college your odds of finding work here is extremely low. You would blow your savings quickly and then what? Trust me, New York is the better choice. Most of your pro's and con's list is based on stupid stereotypes that don't really exist. Forget them.
