Where is Ha Long located?

Where was the legendary Long Beach nightclub "Bogart's" located?

  • A friend was telling me about Bogart's, but he couldn't remember where it was located in Long Beach, CA. Anyone know?

    My neighbors talk about how legendary it was too :-) But I remember it more as a bar in a strip mall with a lot of military. The strip mall is still there - Marina Pacifica Mall near the corner of 2nd St & PCH. There is a Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, CVS, and Ralphs there now. Bogart's was near the North end sort of where Ralphs is now.

sbinlb is right on the location. Marina Pacifica at 2nd and PCH looked a lot different back then though. It was more of a mall than the strip center it is now. My co-worker is an old 70's and 80's punk and he said that the location was back behind where the Jamba Juice is now. I was a punk in the 80's and 90's and it's interesting to hear his stories about the LBC scene back then.
