Is tv show like the "big bang theory" live?

  • i will show be visiting la soon and i got tix to the cbs tv show "the big bang theory." my question is the show live like the "price is right" or "jay leno" show or this tv show has already been taped and are just show to audience on a big screen tv and they just record their laughter? can someone who been to any of the tv show showing like mine please let me know. i rather go to a live show then wasting my time just to watch the show on a big screen. thx in advance.

    There are actors on a set in front of you, that's what you will be watching. What you will see is likely the final shooting before going into editing. They mix live and canned laughter. Live audiences enjoy watching the show being made, and it helps the actors, energizes them. Get there a bit early, if you are supposed to go to Gate 8 (6650 Forest Lawn Drive), it's across the street from the studio. It's easy to find, but sometimes people get confused and head into the studio parking lot.
