Where to learn Japanese?

Where in L.A. County can I learn Japanese inexpensively or free?

  • I've been looking for places, but they are all quite expensive. So far the cheapest place I've found is at college; hard to get seats though. They charge 26$ per unit and each class is 5 units. That covers a whole semester worth of learning. I've called Japanese Cultural institutes, but they all charge around 100 + Books every month. I've met some Japanese folks here and there, but the are all too busy with their lives to teach. So, does anyone know of any place where I could learn Japanese cheaply? Yes, I know stuff online is free, and I"ve been doing that, but I want to try learning from a native speaker for a change.

  • Answer:

You seem to have done as much research as we would be able to do, and have come to the conclusion we would give you. Local colleges would be the cheapest, as education is subsidized by taxes. Eveyone else is going to be in it to make money. Why do you think it's hard to get seats?
