Which area in Los Angeles is better?

Living in Los Angeles, which area to move to? eagle rock vs hollywood vs long beach?

  • Alright so I'm 21 and just moved to the southern california area. I'm actually living in Long Beach right now but my lease is up in December and the most reasonable places I've found happen to be a place in the heart of hollywood, right near the sunset strip, and one in eagle rock about 6 or 7 miles north of downtown LA. I do enjoy a nice bar/club/party every so often but not sure I want to be in the heart of hollywood, just seems too congested to me but supposably thats the place to be and I found a place for 600 a month thats pretty nice. The other spot is in eagle rock...near auntie ems and occidental college...Its a little nicer for 500 a month and definitely seems a little quieter but I'm worried that maybe its harder to meet people in that area being that I just moved here....suggestions,tips,advice? Thanks so much for any thing you can add!

  • Answer:

Hollywood is GHETTO, way overrated. Loved it the first few times but now I don't really enjoy the place. Sunset is nice but just a few streets down is Santa Monica...not nice at all. All I have to say is, I saw a black dude wearing a dress with a pink wig on standing at a corner. Eagle Rock is very hit or miss...like Long Beach.
