How do you become an American citizen if you're under 18 and neither of your parents are from the U.S.A?

I worked with music people in LA. Its an extremely tough business. I dont mean to dash your hopes, but there are literally thousands and thousands of people in LA aiming for this dream. You dont have to be an American citizen to achieve the dream. This is the reality of show business. .You are not a person. You are a product. This is how you are treated. You might be treated like a queen one minute, but if your product doesnt sell. Youre tossed away, like they never knew you. Show business, is a business. Most people only think about the show, and not the business aspect. You dont just join an agency or a record company. American Idol tryouts view some 100,000 wanna- be singers, before narrowing it down to 1000. Finally in the end, one gets a record contract. Next year, a new batch try out. Recording companys now put their money behind a select few and highly promote them. However, It can be done. You have to be unique, talented, but more important something fresh, thats not been done. And you should start by singing in public, in your area.. or acting. To have experience. I give you credit for at least knowing where to pursue the dream. NYC or LA is the place, for entertainers.

If your mom told you that it doesn't sound like she wants you to do it. You do not have to be a U.S. citizen for a those contracts. Who would you move here with exactly? Sounds like this is a lost cause. If you want to pursue those careers you do not have to move to the USA. You have to establish yourself in your respective profession where ever you live now before somebody will sponsor you for America after you are just that dang good. Look into local things that are in what you want to do. I can't wait to read the answers for this question...

Wow, QoA nailed it. You don't need to be a US citizen to make it huge. Ever hear of Olivia Newton-John and Helen Reddy? They're not American. It's about time for another superstar vocalist to come from Australia anyway. BTW, you don't need to be an American citizen to join an agency or record company, even in the US. That's just parental BS.

agree with everyone above. you dont need to be american, theyr'e just saying that. however since your parents dont seem to be willing to be involved in your plot sounds like fail
