How would you set up an easy to use web site for relativly new L.A. bus users???

What a friggin mess, I can't even tell which one is the "official" web site. No wonder the "How do I get to" questions never end here!!! I am thinking point and click maps (I am here -I want to go here) with supporting PDF maps and simple explainations....Jeeeezzzz, I know L.A. pretty good and have a hard time figuring out the "system"... You guys are smart...

Living out here in the boonies(Rialto), I've had to go to areas such as Long Beach, LA and LAX using public transportation. I've found that http://latranstar.tann.com/ is a very good website. When it gives the itinerary for the trip, you can access walking maps to the bus/train stops, schedules for the routes you are using.
