Is Los Angeles Really Better than the San Fernando Valley?

Which is better: living in the Los Angeles County/district or the San Fernando Valley?

  • Personally, I know which is better for ME (i attended high school in Los Angeles, and have lived in the valley; i have visited EVERY single city in the valley), but i would like to know what other people's opinions are. Make sure to give a reason(s) for your answer. Thanks.

  • Answer:

South Orange County is better. Cooler weather but with the sun. Safer and cleaner.

Please clarify: What is the "Los Angeles County/District"? The city of Los Angeles is over 500 square miles (and includes the SFV). The county is even larger. So we need to know which area that you are talking about. For instance, living in Brentwood (part of the city of LA) would generally be considered better living than the valley. But East LA would not.

I hate the valley. Enough said. It's hot, the smog congregates there, I don't typically hang w/ suburbanites (just a preference I have for likeminded people), and I'm not impressed by their restaurants or synagogues.
